Visual Designer at KLM and Air France
Travelling is more than getting from A to B and back. It’s a matter of dreaming, booking, packing and flying. Seat numbers are being chosen, suitcases are being checked, movies are being watched and essential choices like: “Am I going to go for chicken or beef?” are being made. At destination, cocktails are being ordered, adventures are being lived and pictures are being taken. Back home, memories are being shared and stories are being told.
Can you imagine all this? And are you more than capable of translating the figments of your imagination into top-class visual designs? Well, in that case, we’d like you to join our KLM and Air France Digital design team!
What have we got planned out for you?
We’ve got a spot open for an experienced and talented graduate in visual design, who will be taking care of the digital branding for KLM and Air France. You’ll be working from Amstelveen and Paris. Being a member of the UX and design team, you’ll be developing elements of new websites for KLM and Air France. Also, you’ll be collaborating with developers, copywriters and other colleagues.
This is what you’ll be doing as one of our designers:
- You will be turning interactive concepts and propositions into attractive, practical interfaces; using personas, customer journeys and user testing.
- You’ll be ensuring consistency in designs among all digital touchpoints.
- You’ll be working with digital style guides and finding the perfect balance between applying what is there and challenging what can be improved.
- You’ll be occupying a key position in a creative team and in an agile environment.
- You’ll be working with people who have the ambition to create the greatest, best-looking airline web touchpoints and apps in the world.
- You’ll be making and defending choices that combine business requirements with customer needs. This means that you can stand your ground in a sometimes challenging corporate culture.
What do we expect from you?
- You’ve got a “mobile-first-attitude.”
- You’re able to effortlessly turn concepts and propositions into sketches, prototypes and ultimately into top notch interfaces for our customers.
- Your designs are so marvellous that they contribute to a rise in customer satisfaction and increased sales.
- You keep a close eye on design trends in the fields of web and app, you keep your skills up to date and you’re keen to share insights with your fellow team members.
- You’re open to growth and capable of reinventing yourself and your work over and over again; based on new insights gained from (user) testing.
- You enjoy grabbing a coffee with someone you haven’t met before.
- You’re a skilled user of Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and Framer; you’re able to follow Apple HIG and Material Design guidelines; knowledge of InVision, Zeplin, motion design, HTML and CSSE is an advantage.
- Votre français est meilleur que celui de notre directeur. (Ne lui répétez pas que nous avons ajouté cette phrase à l'offre d'emploi !)
- No seriously, being able to speak French is a huge advantage, but it’s not a deal breaker if you can’t.
What do we offer?
- A full-time position based in Amstelveen. Occasionally, you’ll be spending some time in Paris.
- The gross salary starts at €3100,- per month based on a full-time position, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Favourable working conditions and excellent fringe benefits.
- The opportunity to expand your borders and to work in multidisciplinary teams of two renowned global brands.
- An inspiring and challenging environment that allows for personal development.
- The use of state of the art technologies to work on innovative projects.
- Plenty of room for your own initiatives and the freedom to develop yourself.
